CTO Forum

TNTDPC created the Chief Technology Officers Forum to discuss and collate the emerging and existing technologies and enhance professional excellence.

India ranks third among the most innovative lower-middle-income economies in the world. Rising per capita income in India will bring boom in R&D investment in the country with multiple foreign players shifting R&D bases to India. R&D investment and multiple government policies have helped Indian companies overcome tight competition with affordable products internationally. Under the Union Budget 2022-23, the government announced the allocation of Rs. 14,217 crore (US$ 1.86 billion) to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Tamil Nadu Technology Development and Promotion Centre (TNTDPC) of CII has been driving various initiatives to ensure preparedness for future Innovation and new age Technologies and has undertaken various initiatives to enhance the innovation capacity of the Industry members.

Objectives of the forum

  1. The forum will facilitate cross-industry thought leadership and enable collaboration among the technology visionaries from Industry, Academia and R&D Institutions.
  2. It will provide an effective platform to enhance and share knowledge and skills relevant to emerging technologies
  3. It will explore strategies to combine emerging and existing technologies to make enhancements in the areas that are imperative to business
  4. It will Identify mechanisms to manage the related risks associated with emerging technologies
  5. It will provide Policy recommendations and inputs to Government in Technology related areas

  1. CEO’s, CTO’s & CIO’s
  2. Senior level Technology experts
  3. Technical / Research Directors from Academic and R&D Institutions

Structure of the forum

  1. The forum will conduct 10 meetings annually. Each meeting will be for duration of 2 hours.
  2. The meetings will be conducted once in every month at CII Southern Regional Office in Chennai.
  3. Each meeting will include presentation and experience sharing by two of the forum members & one guest speaker.

To meet the administrative cost, a delegate fee (Members – Rs.18,000/- + GST-18% & Non Members – Rs.23,000/- + GST-18% per participant) is being charged.
